A statement regarding Women’s March, Inc and RECENT issues regarding anti-Semitism

Women’s March San Diego and Women’s March Inc. are separate organizations that arose as grassroots movements in reaction to the presidential election of 2016. Across the United States, women leaders organized around Unity Principles of social and environmental justice, and these guided the organizing of the historic marches across the globe on January 21, 2017.

Women’s March San Diego participates in some actions initiated by Women's March, such as the #Enough National Student Walkout, when we believe such actions will resonate with our local community. However, we do not benefit financially from, and are not governed by Women's March.

In regard to recent issues concerning anti-Semitism, Women’s March San Diego does not condone language or actions from any person or group that target, disparage, denigrate, threaten, or harm another person or group. Since our inception, Women’s March San Diego has oriented its mission of harnessing the political power of diverse women and their communities toward creating transformative social change. We believe our diversity makes us stronger, and that working together is the best way to effect change.

We condemn anti-Semitism and any form of race or religion-based hate and will continue to work toward a more positive and just future.
